Hello and welcome to the official website of Tucson Adult Hockey League
In 2007, the only public ice rink in Tucson closed. At that time Tucson Adult Hockey League, LLC was founded by Danny Plattner, Pat McDonagh and Robert Nissenbaum.
The mission of Tucson Adult Hockey League, LLC is to provide an adult ice hockey league in Tucson. As part of our mission, we are committed to providing players a safe, fun and competitive place to play with a focus on sportsmanship.
Going forward, we will have 3 divisions; Tier 1, Tier 2 & Tier 3. Our players range in age, ability, and experience. We do our best to make sure the teams are even and competitive.
The Tucson Adult Hockey League is a no-check league. League play is subject to USA Hockey rules and regulations. There is an additional rule that if a player receives 3 penalties in a single game, the player is ejected and not allowed to play the remainder of the game.
The only option for ice hockey in Tucson is the Tucson Convention Center Arena. Due to their scheduling of large events, we typically do not have our league schedule in advance. We update our website regularly with the upcoming game schedule. Our season runs from late September thru January. Spring Season will run from late February until games are complete or ice is no longer available.
Periods are 20 minutes running time. The final minute of the third period will be stop time if the score is within 2 goals. In the event of a tie at the end of regulation, there will be a 3 player shoot-out. Playoffs will have a separate set of overtime rules.
2020 Spring Registration:
Spring 2020 League will have a total of 6 games. Fee is $175 for current players. There will be a $25 jersey deposit for new players only. Payment for both current and new players will be handled in the last step of the submission process.
Registrations are accepted on a first pay basis. We expect all divisions to fill up quick, so it is recommended that you register and pay right away to secure your spot. Team assignments will be complete one week prior to the first game. We expect to begin games late February, 2020.
Due to the Roadrunners playoffs, Sugar Skulls schedule, and other TCC events, we will do our best to keep most of your games on the same nights as the fall. However, there will be games on other nights too, including multiple games in the same week. So, thank you for your flexibility.
Individuals are only allowed to sign up for one team per season. This restriction is due to limited ice availability and we want to allow as many people as possible to play ice hockey.
Registration will close on 1/25/20
