MosaicQuarter.com --This is the Ice Rink Project
Background:
In 2007, the only public ice rink in Tucson closed. At that time Tucson Adult Hockey League, LLC was founded by Danny Plattner and Pat McDonagh.
Mission:
The mission of Tucson Adult Hockey League, LLC is to provide an adult ice hockey league in Tucson. As part of our mission, we are committed to providing players a safe, fun and competitive place to play with a focus on sportsmanship.
League Info:
The league consists of four divisions; Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 & a newly formed division for those 50+. Our players range in age, ability, and experience. We do our best to make sure the teams are even and competitive. The TAHL has grown from the original four teams to an expected twenty eight teams this year.
The Tucson Adult Hockey League is a no-check league. League play is subject to USA Hockey rules and regulations. There is an additional rule that if a player receives 3 penalties in a single game, the player is ejected and not allowed to play the remainder of the game.
The only option for ice hockey in Tucson is the Tucson Convention Center Arena (TCC). Due to the TCC’s scheduling of large events the league schedule is subject to change. The league game schedule is posted on the TAHL website and a link will be provided for the Schedule and Stats page when the schedule is available. The websites are updated regularly.
Periods are 20 minutes running time. The final minute of the third period will be stop time if the score is within 2 goals. Minor penalites are 3 minutes running time. In the event of a tie at the end of regulation, there will be a 3 player shoot-out. Playoffs will have a separate set of overtime rules.
2025/2026 Season is here!
All divisions are full. Please contact Danny if interested in registering for this season. Please include your phone # and indicate which division.
Individuals are only allowed to sign up for one team per season. This restriction is due to limited ice availability and to allow as many people as possible to play ice hockey. Exceptions will be made if there are open roster spots. Players must meet the eligibility criteria. Interested players must contact us to join the waiting list.
Tier 1 Division - This division is for players who have participated at the highest level of amateur hockey, including College Hockey.
Tier 2 Division - This division is for experienced players and is fast-paced.
Tier 3 Division - This division is for novice to intermediate players
50 + Division - This division is for ages 50 & over and is recreational.
Goalies (all Divisions) - contact “The Worlds Most OKAY-EST Goalie” Eric Holton to join the Goalie waiting list
